    00:00:00.110 --> 00:00:01.780
>> My name is Alan Finklestien [phonetic].

    00:00:01.780 --> 00:00:06.070
I am a dentist by profession.

    00:00:06.070 --> 00:00:10.500
A graduate of Temple University
School of Dentistry class of 1969.

    00:00:10.500 --> 00:00:16.860
I've practiced dentistry the last two
years in the military from 1969 to '71

    00:00:16.860 --> 00:00:20.320
in private practice to this
day in Great Neck, New York.

    00:00:20.320 --> 00:00:26.120
I worked with-- as a chief dental officer
at United health group until four years ago

    00:00:26.120 --> 00:00:33.130
when I decided that it's going to be a lot of
fun doing consulting and being able to give back

    00:00:33.130 --> 00:00:37.780
through teaching at different schools
serving on boards and philanthropic work

    00:00:37.780 --> 00:00:41.710
and that's what we have been doing.

    00:00:41.710 --> 00:00:46.920
And consulting to not only dental
schools, but to insurance companies,

    00:00:46.920 --> 00:00:52.780
to private dental practitioners,
to a new world that unbeknown

    00:00:52.780 --> 00:00:56.280
to me was emerging called venture capitalists.

    00:00:56.280 --> 00:01:02.470
That are changing the whole
landscape of medical and dental care.

    00:01:02.470 --> 00:01:11.060
And what we do is evaluation of dental practices
for quality outcomes to make sure that the type

    00:01:11.060 --> 00:01:19.000
of care that is being rendered is satisfactory
given standards set by the dental practice act,

    00:01:19.000 --> 00:01:25.510
the state dental board, American Dental
Association and individual specialty groupings.

    00:01:25.510 --> 00:01:29.860
