00:00:03.190 --> 00:00:04.650
>> My name is Heidi Kusno [phonetic].

00:00:04.650 --> 00:00:06.170
I am a senior here at Pitt.

00:00:06.170 --> 00:00:11.740
This summer I was an intern with Visa in
Bloomington, Delaware, and I got that turned

00:00:11.740 --> 00:00:15.450
into a full-time job; so I'm moving to
San Francisco, California and working

00:00:15.450 --> 00:00:18.790
as a data analyst for them in January.

00:00:18.790 --> 00:00:22.460
I supported the sales team, and
so any relationship Visa had

00:00:22.460 --> 00:00:24.950
with merchants, like Macy's or Dunkin' Donuts.

00:00:24.950 --> 00:00:28.950
So I did a lot of data analysis, a
lot of sales support, a lot of --

00:00:28.950 --> 00:00:33.800
definitely a lot of number crunching and
chart creating but definitely learned a lot.

00:00:33.800 --> 00:00:36.550
Yeah. I think the biggest thing
is you have to be devoted.

00:00:36.550 --> 00:00:40.090
So if they say get there at 9
AM, I got there at eight-thirty.

00:00:40.090 --> 00:00:44.620
You have to always go one step beyond what
they ask you to and that shows you care,

00:00:44.620 --> 00:00:47.980
that shows you're motivated and
that I think that definitely helped.

00:00:47.980 --> 00:00:50.640
So it was a great experience because
it was in the corporate world.

00:00:50.640 --> 00:00:51.850
So I worked in a cubicle.

00:00:51.850 --> 00:00:56.000
I drove an hour to work every day and
worked with all business professionals.

00:00:56.000 --> 00:00:57.160
I wore a suit every day.

00:00:57.160 --> 00:01:00.420
So it was definitely a huge
experience in that aspect.

00:01:00.420 --> 00:01:03.770
Definitely [inaudible] a lot of
internships I've had previously.
