00:00:00.290 --> 00:00:03.670
>> My name is Javier Marino, and
I am manager of external affairs

00:00:03.670 --> 00:00:07.260
and communications for Toyota Motor Corporation.

00:00:07.260 --> 00:00:13.260
I am responsible for media relations,
diversity and inclusion, government affairs,

00:00:13.260 --> 00:00:16.040
and community relations for Toyota.

00:00:16.040 --> 00:00:19.910
I'm working on establishing
a framework and a strategy

00:00:19.910 --> 00:00:23.600
for Toyota's public presence in that region.

00:00:23.600 --> 00:00:28.770
On any given day, I may be working
with my team and brainstorming

00:00:28.770 --> 00:00:33.800
for what our strategy should
be for community relations.

00:00:33.800 --> 00:00:39.560
The next day, I may be on a plane to New York
to meet with investors, and the following day,

00:00:39.560 --> 00:00:45.460
I may be in California at a concert with
Ricky Martin or some other celebrity

00:00:45.460 --> 00:00:50.620
to thank our customers for their loyalty
to the Toyota brand and for their support,

00:00:50.620 --> 00:00:55.830
and so when you're living in such a fast-paced
environment, and you're given the opportunity

00:00:55.830 --> 00:01:02.540
to travel the world, whether it's Argentina,
Brazil, Venezuela, Mexico and then to come back

00:01:02.540 --> 00:01:08.240
to your home base and work with a terrific
group of professionals that are serious

00:01:08.240 --> 00:01:12.970
about their job and that want to see the company
do well, it makes your life a lot easier.
